More Than a Boss: A Friendship, Faith, and a Little Grace Along the Way

Sometimes God places people in our lives who turn out to be so much more than we ever expected. They may start out as a coworker, a boss, or someone we see every day, but somewhere along the way, they become someone truly special.

For me, one of those people is Jenn.

Jenn is one of the owners of the company I work for, but to me, she’s so much more than that. She’s a friend, an encourager, a woman of faith, and someone I genuinely look up to.

We’ve become pretty close over time, and I’m incredibly thankful for that friendship.

One of the things I appreciate most about Jenn is her faith. As I’ve started growing closer to the Lord and strengthening my own relationship with Him, she’s been right there cheering me on. She’s watched me take those steps, encouraged me along the way, and supported me through the process.

And let me tell you, having someone like that in your corner means more than words can express.

Now, I’m not going to pretend every day at work is sunshine and rainbows. We all have those days when everything seems to go wrong, our patience is running thin, and we just want to throw our hands up in the air. Trust me, I have my fair share!

But Jenn has a way of helping me through those moments. Whether it’s encouragement, understanding, or simply being there when I need someone, she makes those difficult days a little easier.

What inspires me most is that she doesn’t just talk about faith. I see it reflected in the way she treats people and the support she’s shown me.

I’ve learned that sometimes God uses the people around us to remind us of His goodness. A kind word, a little encouragement, or someone who believes in us when we’re struggling can make all the difference.

Jenn has been one of those people for me.

So today, I wanted to take a moment to recognize someone who has made a difference in my life. Not just as one of the owners of the company I work for, but as a friend and a woman whose faith inspires me to keep growing in my own.

Jenn, thank you for your friendship, your encouragement, and for being someone I can count on, especially on those days when I need a little extra grace.

I’m truly thankful God allowed our paths to cross.

And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that sometimes the biggest blessings come in the form of ordinary people who make an extraordinary difference in our lives.
